Unusual insights at the Open Door Day

Company tours, exhibitions, activities for participation – on September 22, the industrial park offered unique insights into the world of natural science and technology. The IPW invited everyone to an open house and promised to present lots of interesting facts and much variety: Dow, Wipak, Viskase, EnBW and several local partners have shown visitors you how they work, what they produce or where you can find their products in your daily life.

Inform Yourself - Check Things out - Have Fun! The people in charge at the IPW were happy to welcome around 2500 visitors. The truck parking lot in front of the site entrance 1 served as the centralhub of the event. If visitors wanted to find out how film packaging is produced, how Dow keeps all assets in good condition, how sausage casings are tested or how the IPW companies are supplied with energy, they could start from there. Busses transported the visitors to the individual stations in the plants and back to the parking lot. Scouts and information boards helped the visitors to plan their tours. For the handicapped or anyone who is not able to walk a lot, the IPW offered guided bus tours as a special service.

In addition to a mixture of information and entertainment, a bouncing castle, a bicycle course or a photo booth, the visitors could explore a wide range of culinary offers. While the kids had fun and explored the event area, their parents could have a coffee break or inform themselves about the IPW. Tours of the "200 years of industrial history" exhibition were also available.

As a special service, visitors from Walsrode could have a seat in a special and free train to enjoy a ride to Bomlitz and back.
